We're under a heat advisory until Monday morning. This morning I was all piss and vinegar. Laid out the 7 bags of mulch (that were sitting in the garage for weeks) at 8:30 am.

I plan on not leaving the house tomorrow except to get the newspapers.

today is better. i keep telling my english husband that this really is not so bad compared to the midwest or the south. he is useless in the heat. i explained that anything worth doing has to take place before about 11am or after 6pm....

I'll still take the midwest. Lived in Florida for 3 1/2 years. The humidity was horrendous, the bugs were worse, it rained every day at 3:00 (because of the heat) and no one would leave their house between 11 am and 1 pm.

Where they get, what, the equivalent of 20 sunny days a year?
