attidtude adjustment

if you ever feel like a dumpy middle-aged woman, go buy a ticket to see Chrissie Hynde. she will rock you, remind you of what is powerful and just deliver some of the most satisfying rock and roll you could ever dream of. i dont go to shows the way i used to - im really picky, but so fucking glad i made the effort last night. on my feet and feeling that feeling that you can't describe, you have to experience it and you do at the first great show you see and you spend untold time and resources trying to have it the rest of your life.
did i mention how much i love rock and roll? that i feel good again - lifted above the ordinary shit and nagging doubts about mortality, worth and purpose.
