in full prep mode for the trip now. nailing down meetings, mapping out routes, really wish there was more time to experience Lisbon. but hey, we will go back someday if we love it. simon got his learners permit out the door! and i got a traffic ticket yesterday. shit. well as soon as he can drive in this country, we can split those duties. i am so bad in traffic - like the mindless masses, in a hurry, forgetting that i am responsible of a ton of metal. boring!
warm here - the heat is getting to si - my fragile english rose is not used to this sometimes harsh climate. it does make one sluggish, especially when it doesnt cool down that much at night. he thinks this is muggy - we need to visit the south in the summertime and i can show him how you cut the humidity and breathe liquid oxygen. i want us to go to New Orleans.
wedding this weekend with all the trimmings and parties. we are staying in a hotel for the duration.
wonder if i can get a hair cut before saturday? hmmm.. its a list day - much to get through. must remember to pay some bills. cash flow positive at the moment. wonder of all wonders!!!!

finished The Fig Eater - so well researched - you get a great sense of Vienna at the turn of the century - from fashion to societal issues to forensics to superstitions. very good book.
got eaten alive by bug bites at the concert on sunday - feel like a little kid with red knees and scabs. quite scratching!!!!!
