a great pair of sunglasses.
3 cool candles.
some books that make me want to curl up and forget everything. i may well do.
kitchen stuff i needed. everyone must have a muffin tin, yes?
just one terra cotta pot. i need about 6 BIG ones - the plants are like children. they need new shoes badly.
a gift of the anniversary type for Simon.

i love the weather today. all misty, but with a bit of sun. refreshing and surprising on your face.

i also love Bach.

will do a 'tidy up'. pay bills, work a few hours. yoga. CHILL.
simon is working away on site. he likes it and its great for us to have some time apart. when we go away on the anniversary next week, we will rediscover each other. i have a great plan for a gift for him.

Shakespeare
"Beware the leader who bangs the drums of war in order to whip the citizenry into a patriotic fervor, for patriotism is indeed a double-edged sword. It both emboldens the blood, just as it narrows the mind . . . And when the drums of war have reached a fever pitch and the blood boils with hate and the mind has closed, the leader will have no need in seizing the rights of the
citizenry. Rather, the citizenry, infused with fear and blinded with patriotism, will offer up all of their rights unto the leader, and gladly so. How do I know? For this is what I have done. And I am Caesar."
