scotcheggi just found out that Craig Aurness passed away this week. he was very good to me in a very diffecult time. he gave me work and respected my talents when i was very low and going through a bad divorce. i will send his widow a card tomorrow.
i remember he had a beautiful image in his office that he had shot for national geographic before he started his own photo agency. it was a haunting shot of a dyers quarter in India with gentle shafts of sun showing particles drifting down over the workers. i wish i had that print.
he was too young and i did not know he had been ill.
