scotcheggyesterday was yoga, we had company from Arkansas on Friday night. we had errands and Simon got the coolest gig and had to work. i worked myself for a few hours, then, driving home, hating my hair, just stopped at an open barber shop and got a really decent haircut for 17.00. i bought some color today and am contemplating. the thing is i have never liked the way that this girl has done my hair and i have only kept going back(for a year) cuz i dont know anyone else, but i just cant keep paying for something i am not happy with.
yoga this am that was wonderful. then we went to a restaurant closing sale. this was so much fun. got some soup ladles, for .35 and 5 gorgeous plates for .50 each. also a stack of way fun cookbooks, some fancy olive oil. i made catfish creole and baked bananas for dinner -it was way fun. i have only cooked properly a handful of times since i started this new gig and i really miss it.
house clean, talked to my mom. miss my kid - he is in NY and will be playing gigs there for a while. a friend of his is going back this week and will see him on his birthday - he is taking presents for my. i got him a really cool tiny pendant on a silver chain(its like a dog tag link but smaller) of the sun. he is a Leo after all. i said prayers over it before i wrapped it. silly, but i am a mom. he told me that he is not gaining weight, but not losing weight and he is feeling stronger.
we watched White noise last night about EVP - that shit is way scary and it was better than we had heard. we both really enjoyed it and talked about it for a bit afterwards.
im in love with my husband, too. I am also grateful for my kitchen. i know its a rented place and we are moving soon, but the layout is so much better than we had in Ojai and the cabinets, floors and surfaces are so much nicer and better. i was thinking about that - how i will be glad to give up the high rent, i will always remember this kitchen fondly.
