they found blakes car, he and simon went to look at it at the impound place friday night. it was not trashed too badly. Blake is leaving for tour in a couple weeks and does not need it, so we listed it on craigs list and sold it in an hour, i kid you not. phew.
i am going to volunteer for american cinemateque(sp?). they have two great old theatres; the egyptian and the aero(which is 5 blocks from me). i went to the orientation on saturday. its actually pretty involved and a bit more than showing up and shoveling popcorn. should be fun, though,
we went on a knarly hike yesterday. a year ago, i could not have done this a year ago. i have semi decided that i want to do the breast cancer walk in september. its a marathon style walk over 2 days. still deciding, but it would give me a goal. it was so beautiful out there. right before we stopped in at a rocking yard sale in the hollywood hills. i got 3 awesome terracotta planters for 6 bucks and among other stuff, simon got a gps for 5 bucks. he is so very pleased with this item and fiddled with it all evening.
i have had a headache trying to overcome me for a couple days, but taking exedrin has kept it at bay, which is super.
i need to give my notice to my freelance clients today. told one of them on friday, but as i am still doing stuff for him, its ok. this is not terribly easy, but i made the decision to go staff for good reason.
we got a ton of cd's yesterday; mazzy star, an old talking heads, surf music(for simon),and collective soul.
i want 5 things that cost 100 each and i read about a cool store in silverlake - called Sometimes Madness is a form of Wisdom, antique furniture, boudoir wear and stuffed armadillos and photos of sideshows. they carry Trashy Diva, which is awsome stuff. i have to go there this week.
