i am crap at lj cuts and wanted to get this in the journal. forgive me. we had such a great night - went out to hear great music - had a proper date and celebrated.
Not all pics have to be behind cuts, just if there's a lot of them or a VERY long post. To do it you have to be in the RICH text mode (link under where you type the entry). The screen refreshes, you get buttons above the entry, the lj-cut one is (...) and to undo it do /lj-cut in the brackets.
Or really large pictures- But small ones like that aren't a problem. Great pic by the way- You guys look good! Happy Birthday! Also you can do an lj cut like this. <lj-cut> anything after that, and between this closing tag </lj-cut> will be behind the cut. The text will automatically say 'read more' ( I think) If you want it to say something else, then use <lj-cut text="your text inside quotations"> and the closing tag again. You don't have to be in rich mode to do it that way.
