scotchegga good movie: a love song for Bobby Long.
a most excellent happening: we bought 11 cd's at a yard sale yesterday. for a buck each. we listened to them, put a few on our playlists, then i listed them on half.com - made 15.00 in about 3 hours. plus postage. gotta love that! i try to sell enough stuff on half,.com and ebay to ay for the yard sale stuff. we also got a bamboo mat which is in the little patio right now. looks really nice, i need to garden. i had big plans for this afternoon, but slept on the couch for almost 2 hours. have not been napping at all lately, but been so busy, guess i needed that.
going over to friends house in a second to watch 6 feet under.
one of the yard sales yesterday was an estate sale and i swear no one had cleaned the house in years. it was so filthy. i guess an old man and woman died there - in their bedroom, there were still rows of meds on the windowsill. pictures of them as young people all over the house. in her kitchen, she had taped all sorts of stuff to the inside of the cabinet doors. my mom does that - little household hints, rules for a good marriage(nver go t bed angry!) how long you can keep coldcuts in the fridge. etc. it looked like the kids(all grown up ) were clearing things up. the place will probably be torn down = the lot is worth millions though. the kids were bickering and sniping - there was a general unpleasantness to the whole thing. just a sheen of 'things have been better'. i bout 4 shot glasses - really thick bar glass for a quarter each and 2 old books.
we went to another this am that was all fancy - but this lady had laid out her clothes and they were all damp. yuch. she also had a yipper dog that she talked to like a baby, ' have you made a poo yet for mommy?'. i had to leave.
